The vocabulary I use in paintings and drawings translates to a third means of visual communication—thumbnail drawings. These quick sketches are not about aesthetic beauty, but allow me to efficiently communicate the marriage of words and images in a rough concept. This enlivens collaboration with creative teams, helps to court more ideas in brainstorming, and aids the organization and pacing the finished message.
